Welcome to Aldenham Park

Aldenham Park is a family run house set in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. The house and its magnificent surroundings are not open to the public and therefore the tours and opportunity for photoshoots and filming are unique.

Our History

The Acton family first acquired the manor in 1465 and the present house evolved to its current form in 1691, providing a home for many of the most interesting figures in English history. King Charles I sought refuge in the strongly Royalist household and indeed left his coat behind.

The Acton family, including the prime minister of the Two Scillies and the famous historian, Lord Acton, used the house less and less until in 1959 it was acquired by the family of the present owners and almost certainly saved from total decline.

The perfect location for your next photoshoot

Aldenham has hosted several very successful photo shoots and film productions in the last few years. It offers a unique blend of historical architecture, mature gardens and a very photogenic drive which have been much sought after by brands from fashion to cars. There is also access to the rolling Shropshire countryside with our farm land and woodlands.
